Knorr-Bremse has always supported social and charitable institutions at its sites around the world. Together with our local partners we want to make a contribution to the welfare of the local community.

 

Social commitment at the individual Knorr-Bremse sites goes under the title of Local Care. To us, this means projects and measures managed by our local sites in order to support the surrounding region. The specific measures are highly varied and range from financial donations and donations in kind to topping up of private employee donations and voluntary commitment on the part of Knorr-Bremse staff – known as “corporate volunteering”. Such projects can be either one-off campaigns or ongoing activities as part of a long-term cooperative effort. They aim to raise awareness amongst Knorr-Bremse employees and motivate them to volunteer.

The main areas supported by Local Care are science and education, mobility and road safety, social infrastructure, environment, culture, sports and health protection.
