CR fields of action

Knorr-Bremse’s Corporate Responsibility Strategy is reflected in six fields of action in which CR-relevant measures are concentrated and developed. “Strategy and Management” and “Communication and Cooperation” create the overarching framework for the four content-related fields of action:

 

 

We prioritize sustainability topics of special importance to us by means of a materiality analysis in which we match the environmental and social challenges for our business with the requirements of our stakeholders. We pay special attention to those subjects that are very important both for the stakeholders and the business. Our CR program is aligned to this materiality matrix.

 

The subject fields were considered and classified according to these criteria:

 

  • Current and future influences on corporate actions
  • How Knorr-Bremse can influence the subject fields
  • Importance for internal stakeholders such as employees, owners and management
  • Importance for external stakeholders such as customers, networks and the public at large
  • Demands made on sustainability management and reporting by national and international organizations
